Any way to track the history of a form with drafts?

posted on December 4, 2015

We have a particular form submission that has very bizarre behavior, so we're trying to track down its entire history. Specifically, we're trying to find out whether and when it was saved as a draft, and what the field values were at that time. Kind of like an audit trail.

Is this possible? I'm pretty sure it isn't, but I figured I'd ask.

The problem we ran into is that the user seems to have managed to submit the same form twice, with one month in between submissions. My theory is that they had a slow internet connection, clicked Save as Draft, and then changed their mind and clicked Submit. Then they came back to their draft a month later and submitted it, therefore ending up with two submissions for the same form in the repository.

At first I thought Forms would prevent two submissions of the same form using UQID, but these submissions have different UQIDs. We know this because we actually store that in a hidden field so that we can query the Forms db later using Workflow. I tested a draft and noticed that the UQID of the original form and its saved draft are different, which seems to support my theory regarding connection speed. It's not easy for me to test though so I figured I'd ask Laserfiche.
