Hello,

I am trying to test the Connector with a window within Great Planes. It seems that I will have to use the OCR option since the other two options did not provide any captured data. When I test the OCR option with the Connector Test Utility it grays out all objects around the window I picked but will not let me draw a box around the area that I want to OCR. If I move the window to one of the gray areas it will let me draw a box around the desired area.

Is this a known issue or is there a better solution to what im trying to do?

Hi Brian,

What is the color depth setting on your computer? Is it on local machine or VM? Try to change the setting to True Color(32bit). Here is how to configure the setting on win7.

I tried what you suggested but the test would not let me draw a box on the application. It seems to gray out the area around the application that I want. I can draw a box in that gray area but that does not allow me to OCR the screen that I need.

This is a terminal server so im not sure if there are any known issues with an environment like that. I believe it is server 2008 that they are running in the terminal server.

After trying everything I could think of I don't believe there is a solution that the connector can provide.

Hi Brian,

Do you have Connector running within the same terminal server instance, or is it on your local machine and going across a remote desktop instance. Connector needs to be in the same instance as the application.

What version of Great Plains are you trying to connect to? What is the Window name?

The window name is Detailed Inquiry. I am asking the client for the GP version so as soon as I know I will reply again with that information.

Looks like the GP version is 2013

Hi Brian, We are also trying to use the Connector with Great Planes. Were you able to get this to work?
