When Quick Fields processes documents, it can pull system metadata such as when the original file was created and modified, but not the document creator. The easiest way to get the document creator onto the Laserfiche file would be to store that information in a metadata field. If you want to take a custom scripting approach, you could use a custom Workflow script or the Laserfiche SDK to retrieve the information from the original document upon import.

Quick Fields should not be removing anything from your original documents. If you are referring to the creator that is listed in Laserfiche, Quick Fields creates a new scan of the document, so the creator will reflect the Laserfiche user that imports the document. If desired, you can configure your Quick Fields session to retain the original document or delete it once it is scanned in. Hope this helps!
