Hey everybody!

I'm so excited - I'm able to go to Empower this year!

I didn't see a "Welcome" thread for this year, so why not start one?

So Hi! I'm Mike Wells. I'm from Chesterfield County, VA. We've had Laserfiche for 10 years now, and I've been an admin for most of that time.

This will be my 5th Empower, having previously attended 2007, 2013, 2014, 2015.

I'm interested in Forms classes (Since we are just standing it up,) seeing LF10, customizing weblink classes, and the many customer stories. Oh, and networking with all of the wonderful fiche folks!

So, who are you and what would are you looking forward to at Empower 2016?

I'm planning on attending this year, too, along with 2 other of my co-workers. It will be my fifth year. I started attending in 2012 and haven't stopped.

We will be learning more on Forms, too. We have a few forms here but definitely want to expand to other areas.

I'm looking forward to networking and learning more to expand our system.

Glad you liked the article, Mike! What was your favorite tip? As an experienced Empower attendee, any tips you'd recommend that weren't on the list?

Hmm. It is a great list - let me think...

Along the lines of #7 - I recommend coming in town at least one day before, and leaving one day after, the official conference days. Travel can be stressful enough without worrying about missing things due to delays.
See the town. If you have time on the edge days, or at night after sessions, take advantage of interesting destinations.
#3 - chargers, chargers, chargers! plan extra for charging your devices.
prep your laptop. Download, install, and test the Empower VM if you plan to use it. Or go to the info center early.

My name is Robin and I'm from Little Rock! We just officially launched Laserfiche to some of our departments in our organization in October. I work at Heifer International.

This will be my first year! I'm excited for all of the courses since we are so fresh and new with Laserfiche.

Hello, Im Elizabeth Miller from Wellington Kansas. This will be my first Empower conference. (It will also be the first time for me to see the ocean, and only second time for me to fly in my life :)) Im so excited to be coming. My agency has used Laserfiche for quite a while but I have only worked with it a couple years now. Most of my trainings will be on Forms and Workflow as I am interested in expanding our use of Laserfiche. I was looking for the laptop requirements when I found this forum. Can any of you help with that?

The virtual machine for the conference won't be available until late December or early January. The virtual machine runs Windows Server 2008 R2, and requires the following minimum hardware in order to run:
•   64-bit Windows 7 or higher OS for the host (laptop) machine
•   VMWare Player 7
•   Intel i5 CPU or better
•   8 GB of RAM
•    at least 50 GB hard drive free space, SSD recommended

I've been using Laserfiche since 2008 and I'm looking forward to my 4th Empower Conference - 2012, 2014 and 2015. Can't wait to get more in depth on Forms and Workflow and just wish there was more time - too many great courses for too few hours!

Hi Mike - I'll be attending Empower 2016! This will be my 9th Empower Conference - my first was 2008, back when we were at the LAX Hilton and first combined the user and VAR conferences.

For those of you who don't know me, I'm Director of Marketing Communications here at Laserfiche, and have been with the company for going on 9 years now. I have the pleasure of working with our user groups, presenting webinars, presenting at conferences and of course teaching at Empower!

This year, I'm teaching three classes:

TRN 201: Build a Business Case Stakeholders Will Say "Yes" To (Tuesday 1/12, 11:00 AM)
TRN 102: Getting Everyone Excited About Your Laserfiche Initiative (Tuesday 1/12, 2:45 PM)
TRN 103: Avoiding Presentation Panic (Wednesday 1/13, 4:00 PM)

I'm really excited to see you all at Empower and hear what you're excited to learn about! I hope to see you all in the Info Center, on Twitter (@ECM_marketeer), on LinkedIn or around the Long Beach Convention Center. It's going to be the best conference yet!

There will definitely be maps

If you want to start studying up, I found the floorplan of the convention center online here: http://visitlb.s3.amazonaws.com/digital_files/2404/new_campus_map_2014.pdf. The info center will be in the Seaside Lobby (the big brown dot in the middle).

I'm Laura and I cannot wait for Empower 2016. I have been using Laserfiche since 2010, and I Admin, create, process, the works for our company. I am from Olathe KS.

This will be my 3rd year at Empower (2012, 2014, 2016)

I am mostly interested in Workflow, and integration with our other systems..

Hi Laura! Sounds like you are a "jack of all trades!"

I saw a lot of integration-type classes and user stories on integration on the schedule this year. I plan to attend a few of those.
