SSL from Web Access Server to Laserfiche Server

posted on November 19, 2015

In the Laserfiche Web Access configuration page, if I add the repository and select ssl it accepts the entry.   However when I connect via the Laserfiche Web Client I get the error message "Could not connect to the Laserfiche Server. [797]"  as I have disabled port 80 on the Laserfiche Server Windows Firewall.

Does the Laserfiche server actually use both ports? I was trying to eliminate accidental port 80 client connections from the windows clients and have everything connect over SSL for encryption.

Laserfiche Web Access version 9.2.0 is on the bottom of the web access client page.

There were certain operations, like checking the server version number for compatibility, that were never done over SSL and would produce this error if port 80 was blocked.  I believe they are all resolved in the latest 9.2 release and in Web Access 10.  What version are you using?

I confirmed that this issue is fixed in Web Access 10. If you can't update at this time, please talk to your reseller about opening about a support case and we can provide you with a custom fix.

The reference number for this bug is SCR121530.
