Question

"automatically log in in the future" web admin

asked on November 13, 2015

When logging into the repository with a Laserfiche account on the Web Admin console it has the option to "Automatically log in in the future". After using this option, the next time I log into the repository, I would expect that it would automatically use the same username and password without prompting me. However, it continues to prompt with blank fields. Is this supposed to be for something else, or is it not working correctly?

Michael opened a case with Support.

The thread will be updated with what we find at the conclusion of the support case.

Based on the Case, "Automatically log in in the future" settings in the Web Admin console does not override browser security settings. Normally, when you set this in Web Admin, the browser will then prompt to save the password.  If they click no on this, they will have to set it again.  If the end user wants the Web Admin authentication to be remembered, the browser has to be configured to allow such.  Instructions for setting the browser to remember depend on the browser type.
