Question

Forms Task Participants

asked on November 5, 2015

I am using Rio 9.2.1 with LFDS and AD Users and Groups.  The AD users have all synced and AD Groups have been added to the Admin Console.

In Forms System Security the AD Users and Groups have been synced and they all appear as Named Users.  They are all set to Inherit From Group.

In Forms, I can add Users as Task Participants in the Process Modeler.  I am trying to add AD Groups as Task Participants but am not able to do so.  I receive an error "This field requires a valid user...".

Strangely two Groups are appearing in the list of available users under Task participants and can be selected.  There is no difference between these two groups and any other group that is in Admin Console or that has been synced.

Could someone please shed some light on this?

Also should I set all the Groups to Basic User or Inherit from Group, as that does not seem to make any difference?

Hi Peter,

In Forms 9.2 User Tasks can only be assigned to individual users, not groups. We've had a lot of users request this feature and team functionality will be available in Forms 10. For now, you can send a User Task to as many individual users as you'd like as a workaround. Hope this helps!
