Question

How can I run a report of all records that have been destroyed in a time period?

asked on November 5, 2015

For all of my customer's records series they keep the metadata after destruction. Is there a way to perform a search based on the criteria that the record has been destroyed? I see the ability to view it if it's eligible but the customer would like to report on all destroyed records in a time frame and when they were destroyed.

Or is that something we'd have to go to Audit trail for?

Refer to this post – it lists the search syntax you can use to find the metadata of destroyed documents. From there, you could add in a date constraint to find documents destroyed within a certain time period.  Audit Trail is also an option, if you prefer to use that report.

Thank you for the answer. I will work with that for now. I would second the suggestion in that other post for adding this as a GUI criteria. Seems like a common enough request that it wouldn't be a stretch to add to the feature list.
