Erro Client don't display panes

HI everyone,

We are having a problem with one pc of our network that uses laserfiche client 9.2.1.635. It is a windows 7 64 bits desktop. It seems that eveything is correct, but I don't why when I open laserfiche client with the admin accont and try to get into a image, it onlys shows up the image, I can't see the metadata or the other panel.

Do anyone has any ideia of what is happening?

I will be glad for the help.

Hi Vitor,

 

Try resetting the pane layout. View>Panes>Restore default layout.

 

Does that resolve the problem?

Is this issue isolated to just 1 machine? All the other users can login with no issue?

 

Try logging into the affected PC as a different windows user and see if the problem persists. smiley

Hi Chris,

Yes , it is only in one machine so far. I did try to log with another windows account and still with the same issue. That's why it bugs me because I don't know what happen with this machine to do that. And in the event view does not show any error in the application log.

What happens if you try to login with the affected user on a different workstation?

I did try to apply the KB 1012998, but I did not find the attribute that is mention there (I attached a screenshot). I also tried to paste attributes from another user, but still the same thing.

Hi Chris, when the user affected user a different workstation, it works perfect, without any problem. But in the desktop affected with any login that I tried keeps the same layout. Because of this I believe that the problem it is on the machine, but I don't know what could have caused. We are preparing another desktop to exchange and format the one with the problem, but until there I am trying to find what could have caused.

Can you make sure the attribute isn't set on the Everyone group either? Also, you can try adding the attribute to the user directly and set it to "No"

If the issue is specific to that one workstation, perhaps the option is being read from the registry as well so you can try looking for that setting under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Laserfiche\Client8\Settings or HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Laserfiche\Client8\Profile\[RepositoryName]Settings and remove it.

Good News Vitor,

 

At least you have isolated the problem to be an issue with that specific workstation if other users can log in successfully with no issues on other workstations. It sounds like the best plan would be to swap out that workstation like you are doing.

Hi Alexander,

I looked at the everyone group and did not find the attribute. I also tried to set manually in the user, but still the same thing. I did look too in the registry but I did not see the attribute.
