Question

OBDC Connection to SQL Database

asked on October 30, 2015

Does anyone have experience with an OBDC Connection to an SQL Database? I would like to do a batch entry with QuickBooks and enter the information into an SQL database.

Are you saying you want information in Laserfiche pushed into your QuickBooks DB?

Dane - What specifically are you looking for?  Do you need help connecting to the SQL server or are you looking for general advice on accessing and writing to a database?  Also, what is your development environment? (.NET, js, or are you trying to access SQL through Workflow?)

We integrated with our database software (Aptify) by using the "Insert Data" tool in Workflow to push the data into the correct fields.  This Solution Exchange article outlines how we did it (skip down to the Insert Data part).  Hope it helps!

Thank you all for your replies.

We will be getting Quickbooks Enterprise Edition and I was wondering if anyone has experience integrating that with Laserfiche.

Not specifically with Intuit products but it looks like they have a free SDK available;
