Question

Use Import Agent to capture the original and modification date

asked on October 27, 2015

I would like to use Import Agent to capture the original and modification date of a document that is now stored on our network.  This is not the original or modification date inside Laserfiche but when a document was first created.  We have to captured these dates for historical purposes for our legal staff.  Can this be done with Import Agent out of the box or is additional scripting needed?  Is there any other way this can be accomplished?  Keep in mind this is a large import.  I have searched Answers and I am only seeing information regarding to using Quick Fields.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Judy,

Import Agent doesn't support these tokens yet. But it has been in our to-do list.

To workaround it, try to use additional scripting to generate either list file or list xml file, populate the field values with original and modification date. There are examples in the Import Agent installation directory, C:\Program Files (x86)\Laserfiche\ImportAgent\List File Examples\. Thanks!
