Question

move from test to production environment

asked on October 26, 2015

Hello

I have a test environment where i developed many workflows and now i need to move to production.

The workflows works on a repository and has its own SQL server.

I want to move the workflow to my production environment.

Any white papers concerning moving from test to production environment

If you do not have any workflows already created in the production environment you can copy the database to the production environment and go through the workflow configuration manager and point to that SQL database.

If this is not the case and there are already active workflows on the production environment you can simply either export the workflows from the rule manager section or you can open the workflows and then in the designer go to Tools > Connect to Workflow server... and connect to the production workflow server. From here you will need publish the workflows. Please make sure you have the right connection profile.

The easiest way would be to export from one environment (Workflow menu\Export in the Designer), then import into the new server. The export will take the workflow and its starting rule. The import wizard will walk you through updating the connection profile and other related resources.
