Error when import document from one repository to another repository

We have three repositories repo_1, repo_2, and repo_3. I am able to import/export files between repo_1 and repo_2. This includes import/export files from PC.

But on repo_3, I am not able to import file from any other repositories (export from repo_3 to other repositories is fine, import file from my PC to repo_3 is also fine). I did not get confirmation asking for the import location either. Here's the pop up I got before error message.

1] Prompt asking for reason. There was only one item in the drop down list.

2] When I entered the reason and clicked OK, there was a pop-up error.

3] Details for error:

Error Code: 6000
Error Message: The briefcase failed to export properly.
Unknown error. [6000]

My user has effective feature rights to import/export on all repositories.

Do you know what caused the error? What setting do I need to import document from other repositories to repo_3. Thank you

Just to clarify. You were able to export the briefcase successfully from one repository. Importing the same briefcase works on another separate repositories but you are not able to import the same briefcase into the third repository. Is that correct? Are the repositories all attached to the same server?

Hi Raymond,

Thank you for your reply. All repositories are on different servers. The same document was used for testing. The error I have is only when I import document from other repositories to repo_3 (but from PC to repo_3 is fine).

I am not familiar with the brief case concept. I've been copying files to and from PC and repositories (also between repositories). Are there any additional settings that I need?

Based on the error, you are in the Briefcase export dialog not in the Import dialog.

Why not just drag and drop the file that you exported from the other repository into Repository 3 or use File > Import instead?

I did drag and drop the file like I did on the other two repositories. I also tried copy and paste which gave me the same error.

File > import option only allow me to select file from my PC or network but not from other repository.

For File > Import to work, the files have to be exported first. Are you dragging and dropping files between repositories using the LF client all on one machine?

If you export the file first then drag and drop it into Repository 3, do you get an error? if so, what is it?

- Yes I drag and drop files between repositories. This works for repo_1 and repo_2, but not repo_3. There is no error for import/export between any repository and my PC. As you suggested, this can be the work around the issue. But I'm just wondering why drag and drop between repositories does not work specifically on repo_3 and if there's any setup that I missed. I was prompted with briefcase dialog not the import dialog even though I performed the same action on the same file.
