CPP Troubleshooting Question

asked on October 20, 2015

When should you have tracing turned on in the Laserfiche Client version 8.2.

Select one.

a. After installing the client on a new machine

b. Tracing should always remain on

c. When users are scanning

d. On any machine you intend to audit user data

e. Only when troubleshooting a specific problem

I choose e. and had the wrong answer. Does anyone know the answer the CPP exam is expecting.

If this is the wrong place to ask the question pleased advise on where I should redirect.

Thanks

Looks right to me (and this was not one of the questions I missed when I passed). Perhaps you mis-clicked or forgot to select something? For what it's worth... Troubleshooting was one of the most difficult CPP tests due to ambiguously worded questions. Also, it is only marginally helpful because the source material seems to be quite outdated relative to their current versions of the product, and many of the best troubleshooting tips are also included in Admin I or Admin II. Since you're already in it and taking the test though, best of luck to you! (Unless you've already passed... in which case, congratulations!)

Thanks for the response. Did you get question 5 correct. Not sure what was available on the LF support site several years a go.

Probably best not to give away a bunch of answers here, but I would venture to say that what is available on the support site today is what was available a few years ago (with the exception of Answers, which has superseded the Forums section).

That's what I assumed as well. Got it wrong. Nothing in the documentation or CBT to find the correct answer. Don't want to waste my second attempt. Would like to know for sure.

You very well may have gotten this question correct, I received correspondence from cpp@laserfiche.com stating: "The Troubleshooting exam does not display its results correctly on the Exam Result page, but the actual grading is correct." So if you take the test the for the first time, my best suggestion would be to email them and request they send you the correct results for the exam before you take it a second time.
