How would i load +-3500 Bulk Read only users for weblink in Admin Console?

Hi,

I am not sure about this and I have read a few posts. How would I load users for weblink in bulk. What file will I use and how would I go about it? say for instance the user must be 100000 and the password 100000. I don't have to load any attributes etc. I will do the rights through workflow. I haven't done this before and honestly think there must be a easier way than myself creating the users physically.

You could use the SDK to automate this.

Do you have Active directory? If you have the users in an AD group, you can add that group and use the "Only allow read-only" checkbox on the group.

Otherwise, the only way I know of to automate adding the users is with the SDK.

If nothing of above works, I have a solution, this is how it goes:

1. Make an excel of users

2. I have a Java utility, which when runs, takes excel as source & creates all users as xml file.

3. Import the xml in Admin console & all accounts are created.

Only issue is all the other stuff like, enabling the user & groups you have to do manually.

For my need I had managed user enabling for Portal via workflow.
