laserfiche directory server 9.2.1 won't start after update

I just updated license server from 9.2 to 9.2.1.  

 

error:   the Laserfiche Directory Server 9.2 service on <server name> started and then stopped. some services stop automatically if they are not in use by other services or programs.

Check the Directory Server event log under Applications and Services Log, please.

We found the actual error in the Application Log.

Service cannot be started. System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Access to the path 'C:\ProgramData\Laserfiche\LFDS\connections.config' is denied.

Looks like the update switched the service to run as Network Service which does not have access to the ProgramData\Laserfiche folder.

We added Network Service and everything is up and running. Thanks!
