Question

The system cannot find the path specified. [6000:0x80070003]

asked on October 13, 2015

Hi,

I attached a repository on a new server which was on the Current LF Server. I can login and view the folder structures, not able to view the images says no image. When i try and import a document it gives met the system cannot find the path specified even if i create a new folder or do it in the root folder. Has anyone experienced this issue yet?

Does this mean the Repository is corrupt?

Thanks

Thanks

Gert

Please confirm that the path configured for the volumes in the repository are valid and that the Laserfiche Server service account has full access to it.

The volume path could be incorrect, check that the volume containing the documents is a valid location. You can view this in the admin console under the Volumes node.

I know it is not best practise, but it is Temporary. i am using a Network Drive as the Default Volume ( I had the incorrect path specified, but it i have connected to the Correct Path now ) I can see that it has picked up all the documents when i go to Default Properties Statistics. I have now restarted the server, i am still getting the same errors. Reason for the Temporary solution is, it is a new VM and i need more storage space allocated to it, but not allowed to do so yet. The storage space a.t.m. is not enough for the size of the repository that i have attached.

If you are using rollover volumes (logical and physical volumes) please make sure that each of the physical volumes is using the correct path. Note that for network locations, you'll also need to use UNC pathing. Lastly, is the Laserfiche Server service account a domain account that has full rights to the network location? Once these things have been confirmed, restart the Laserfiche Server service again and see if you can open documents and view them properly, and that you can also import new documents.

thanks Alexander, I am using the UNC path for all of them. I think you are correct regarding the Lf Service account. I am using the Local Service account which local admin user for that server. Would need to get a Domain account that has full access rights to network location. security is pretty tight at the client, but sure they will assist.

Just because you mentioned that this repository used to be on the "current LF Server" and the volumes are in a UNC path...you have unregistered the repository from its original server, right? Because otherwise you could have 2 separate servers writing to the same volume path once you fix the service account on the second server. And that will definitely cause corruption.

HI Miruna,

The repository is unregistered and the LF Server is using its own repository not writing to the same volume.

Thanks Guys,

The repository was in fact corrupt. I have managed to recreate the repository and migrating the Docs I needed. All sorted and working well. Thanks for the assistance.
