Question

what folders needs to be backed up for Weblink9?

asked on October 13, 2015

Hi,

I am trying to look for documentation regarding the Back-Up for Weblink9, but has been unsuccessful in finding.

What folders needs to be backed up for this?

Thanks

Gert

Hello Gert,

Just to clarify: WebLink is a public portal to view what is in the Laserfiche repository. So backing up that information means backing up the repository and the server database (to preserve the metadata association); the appropriate deployment guide for your Laserfiche distribution should be able to walk you through that.

If you want to back up the custom CSS or connection settings from within WebLink: the database connection and repository registration settings are by default stored in C:\Program Files\Laserfiche\WebLink\Config\WLConfig.xml. The styles, fonts, images, scripts, etc. are stored in C:\Program Files\Laserfiche\WebLink\Web Files. For example, changing colors in the WebLink Designer is stored in WebLinkStyles_temp.css and changing the welcome text is stored in WelcomeText.inc.

Hope this helps!
