Moving data between volumes

I have a client that wants to move data from their primary volume to a secondary one and open up more space on the primary.  

I have been looking for some information on the best way to go about this.  Anyone have any documentation or ideas on how to approach this?

You can select the documents from the primary volume and then migrate them to the secondary volume. Some information regarding this process can be found here. This other page has some general information regarding best practices for volume administration. I'd also recommend this white paper as it covers volume administration in more detail.
