Question

Valid doc pages remain in ProgramData after processing with QF

asked on October 9, 2015

Hello,

I have a critical issue with Quickfields 9.0.1

I know that QF stores temp images in C:\ProgramData\Laserfiche\Quickfields\Files\sessionID

When the files are stored in the repository and there are no more unidentified docs, this folder should be emptied.

There are many posts talking about files remaining there, which is also my case and noticed that usually it is a matter of security (the folder has restricted security settings and QF cannot delete files from there).

BUT...

I investigated more some cases at 2 clients, and found that there are VALID document images remaining in the temporary folder, that should have been sent to the repository but weren't!

For instance, I found an image in the temp folder which was the 2nd page of a document. The first page of that document was properly stored in the repository, while the 2nd remained in the temp folder. I verified other files and found the same issue. In that session I'm using LFCaptureEngine, so I can be sure of the above by checking the source document.

In that case we cannot guarranty that QF is reliable, as I cannot compare each time that all the sources pages were effectively stored after processing, because the source document is being dispatched into many subdocuments.

Does anyone have an idea of why this is happening, and how to avoid it?

Thank you and best regards,

There is not enough information to make a guess. Please open a support case and indicate the exact path where the images were left and whether there were processing or storage errors related to those documents.
