Hello Susan,

In the Laserfiche Admin Console, in the repository > Metadata Management > Fields, you can create a new field "Employee Number". Then select both "Employee Number" and "EEmployee Number" (Ctrl + Click), right-click, and choose All Tasks... > Merge Fields. You can enter "Employee Number" as the name of the merged field, and if there are any existing entries with metadata in the "Employee Number" field, at the bottom of the dialogue you can choose in "Conflict Resolution" the "Use field Employee Number value" option.

What this does is create a new field called "Employee Number". For each document, this third field is populated with all of the information from both the original "Employee Number" and "EEmployee Number" fields. Finally, the original two fields are removed, leaving one "Employee Number" field with all of the data from the two original fields.
