Question

Copying a Forms Process

asked on October 6, 2015

I made a copy of a forms process in order to make some major revisions. This new process is ready to be published but there are submissions from the old/current process still awaiting approvals.

I need to remove access to the old/current form and replace with the new form, keeping the same URL/process name. Will doing this kill the submissions in progress? Do I have to wait until all submissions under the old form are completed prior to making the switch?

Since you didn't edit the existing process I don't think there's a way to move those processes over. The actual internal db pointers in the forms database will have changed for the new form even though you may have pointed it at the same location.

There is no way currently to replace a current process and have it retain the previous processes information, including tasks. As Chris mentioned, the pointers in the database would still point to the old process.
