If you mean indexing as in making them text searcheable, then yes, they're supported. You can either extract their text when they're imported into Laserfiche (or if the users work with them through the Office integration, then the Office plug-in will do it automatically when the document is saved). Or if the corresponding IFilters are installed on the Laserfiche Server, the search engine will automatically extract the text and index them.

Sorry, should have been more clear. When I check the index properties for the repository in the admin console, those files types do not appear as supported by the indexer, and after running a reindex job last night using quick rebuild every .xlsx file showed up as "Failed to index edoc because the file is missing or the file type is unknown." in the logs.

Sounds like I just need to install the Office 2010 Filter Pack to get this working?

Thanks,

Geoff

Yeah, that should take care of it.

Re-ran QR again last night with the new Office 2010 iFilters in place and no errors on the .xlsx docs. The Electronic Text Extraction tab on the Index properties now shows all the new docs types supported as well.

Thanks again!
