If i want to develop a custom application, what do I need to implement in order my application can work with the Laserfiche Integration Connector ?

You probably don't need to do anything.  As long as your application uses the standard Windows APIs for user interfaces, Connector can find your input fields and read their contents.  You might not use these APIs directly, but if you use e.g. WinForms or MFC you use them under the covers.  There is a test application you can use to be sure it will work, see this announcement.
