I am wondering if we import PDF's after being processed by Adobe iFilter, that the user will be able to use basic search and pull up the PDF?

Question
Can Workflow import PDF's that have been processed by Adobe iFilter?

I'm not sure how Workflow ties into this situation, but if the IFilter is installed on the same machine as the search engine, the search engine will use it to extract the text and make the documents text-searchable.
The files that we are trying to extract text are larger than 3 GB, which throws an error "System.Out.Of.Memory." Because of the limitation of the OS when it comes to 32 bit applications, we are having a difficult time importing and extracting the text from these documents.
This is why we were going to use iFilter to extract text for each document before we import it into Laserfiche. Then import the document into Laserfiche.
The search engine would use the x64 IFilter on a x64 OS.
That said, if you set the text pages on import, they'll be indexed. The search engine does not care how the text pages were created, just that they exist. So, yes, the user will be able to use text search on those documents.
