Question

Audit Trail never shows the most current week?

asked on September 29, 2015

I've noticed this before, but would like confirmation:

Audit Trail will never give me data on activities that occurred most recently (appears to be the most recent week).  Is that true and, if so, is there a reason?  I would have thought that if something happened yesterday, I could go into the Audit Trail reporting today and research what happened the previous day.

Thanks,

If you're using Laserfiche Audit Trail 9.2.1, please make sure to apply the latest patch from KB 1013659. There is a fix for the following:

Audit reports pulling from a Microsoft SQL Server 2012 database did not automatically update with new data without either restarting the Audit Reporting service or first changing the date range on the report. This issue is now resolved. (125202)

Okay, so, I got my IT people onto this and he found (1) we are not running MS SQL Server 2012, but are on 2008, and (2) we are not using LF Audit Trail 9.2.1, but have 9.2.0.363.  After reviewing the notes on the latest patch, he decided to try just restarting the Audit Reporting service and that seemed to fix the problem.

Thanks for getting us on the right track, though!

Thanks Connie. You may actually not need to be only on MSSQL 2012 as this issue may have affected older versions. However, the fix we made is only for Audit Trail 9.2.1 so you'd need to be on that version to apply the fix. Future versions won't have this issue.

I am locked into Rio 9.1.1 due to an Incode/LF integration.  is it possible to upgrade the audit trail only and resolve this issue?

Yes, Audit Trail is backwards compatible with server versions.
