Question

Import Agent: Limit on number of XML file imports?

asked on September 21, 2015

Using Import Agent 9.0, we've successfully imported .tif files from a network folder into Laserfiche using an .xml file.  However, we've only been successful at importing 10 files per .xml file.

We have over 3000 image files to import.

Is there a limit on the number of image files allowed to import via Import Agent, at one time, using XML?

Thank you for your feedback.

Sorry for the delay in posting back to this question.

Turns out the .xml contained duplicate file names which prevented the files from importing.  The Windows logs were no help in figuring this out.

We encoded the .xml as UTF-8, and made sure there were no duplicate file names.  Everything then imported with no issue.

There is no limited number of files. Could you please look up the error message in event log for the specific operation?

I have the same problem with multiple xml files, I can import 10 or 20 successfull and more than 20 goes to IAerror, in a second try, with less than 20 everything is ok, What is the limit to Import Agent to import xml files??

The message in event viewer is look that:

There was an error running the profile Carga de Factuas POS while importing the file "D:\Capturas\POS\XML\2017\08\08\17DS000C 0446303.xml". (The current request could not be performed because there are too many existing operations running. [9035])
