Question

Rio - Admin Console - Windows Accounts

asked on September 16, 2015

We use Windows Authentication. In Windows Accounts the Linked Trustee column shows "none" instead of the users' assigned group. The group shows if we open the Properties for a specific user. Is there anyway to get the group to display without opening an individuals account (they used to display). We have RIO, 9.2.

Thanks.

The Linked Trustee column is not for showing groups. Windows accounts can be linked to Laserfiche users. If you had them linked, the username would be showing in that column. There is no  column for showing the group membership since a user can be a member of lots of groups and it would hard to display them in a meaningful way.

If the Linked Trustee Column is not supposed to show the users associated groups, then why do the groups load into that field when opening the properties for that user?

It's weird because it seems to only affect about half of our repositories. Some repositories none of the groups are shown. then in others only a few users are missing their groups on initial load.

We recently migrated from Rio 9.1.1 to 10.1. All groups were shown in 9.1.1.

This issue has been fixed for Laserfiche 10.2.

By fixed do you mean the groups will be displayed properly on load like in my 2nd example, or the expected behavior you mentioned previously?

It will show linked trustees and groups the user is in as a semi-colon delimited list with the linked user first.
