Pulling in a variable not allowed/not working

Hi,

I have a form that is on the third step of the process modeler and for some reason a specific question wasn't pulling the info from a drop down field on the third step, even though it was doing it on the 2nd. The third form was copied from the second so there wasn't a clear reason why it wasn't pulling the information.

I've been trying to add the variable to this question but when the process modeler is saved it adds a _1 or a _2 to whatever I add and so the variable isn't matching.

I've also dragged and drop the variable from the variables screen but that's not pulling the answer over. When I looked further, it's not showing the variable and not allowing me to add it in.

I'm at a loss on this. Any help would be really appreciated.

Hello James,

To change the Variable name from the menu in the picture you posted, you have to click the gear button next to the Field Name which will bring up the Variable Settings dialog as shown in the picture below.

The problem isn't that I'm not able to change the variable name, it's that it's not pulling the variable information in. I'm not sure what to do for a drop down that's not able to have the variable option.

Hi there,

You can remove the field, and drag it back from the Variables tab.

Exactly, that's the issue. The only problem is that when I drag it from the variables field it's not pulling the variable. That's why I'm at a loss.

Can you try rename the variable, remove the filed, and drag an field from the variable again?
