Question

Add Folder/Entry Shortcut to Toolbar in the Laserfiche Client

asked on September 11, 2015

Is it possible to create a toolbar button that is essentially a shortcut to a desired folder or entry in a repository? I'm finding I keep having to navigate through the repository to a few of the same places on a frequent basis. I tried adding a custom button but I'm unsure how to create the command that will do this. I also tried simply dragging and dropping a folder into the toolbar doesn't work either (this would be a nice feature though).

Hi Michael,

You can do it currently, but it would require having the toolbar button call into a script that opened up the desired folder using the Client Automation Tools (CAT).

As an alternative - In the upcoming v10 release, we are adding the ability to star a document or folder which will then cause it to always show up in a special starred quick access location. That should provide the type of functionality you're lookign for here.
