Can you provide a little more detail on how what and how you are trying to integrate ArcGIS with using Connector? Are you using ArcDesktop or a third party application running on the ArcGIS platform?
The application which I have been able to use Connector with is Futura Mobile Desktop from Futura Systems. This is an electric distribution utility GIS application. Our use was for the user to be able to search the repository and return all documents based on the consumer selected as well as giving the option to search the repository for right of way easements and work orders based on the location number on the map. I am not having Connector extract the search criteria from a layer on the map, but rather from an attributes window that pops up after the user has selected objects on the map.
Hi Glen - working directly on the ArcGIS platform - I have Connector working with QGIS - pretty much the same as what you have setup with Futura:
And the screen that I'm attempting to pull data off of in ArcGIS is very similar to the above (e.g. attributes) but in this case the Connector does not appear to be able to pull the individual field data, just the main window... I'm going to attempt to setup some more testing today!

Just wanted to update this – I finally had some time, so I loaded ArcReader and a sample map – I was in fact able to pull data out via the LF Connector – you just need to be able to pull up the attributes on a piece of the map (e.g. in this case I used Contour).
I was also able to get this working via AcrWeb as well – same thing – need to pull up attributes and you are good to go.
Not sure why it would not function on the customers maps, but that will warrant further investigation…

Were you able to get this working with the Connector Test Utility? I am trying to select the Parcel Number from the attributes and the test work recognize the field. I can use OCR but that is not 100% accurate.

Hi Jen - I too ended up using OCR. GIS apps seem to work better with the LF Connector than any of the ESRI map programs....

I have another question. I'm able to get Connector working with Arc Reader and a published map (pmf) but it's not working on the customers live version of ArcGIS Ersi version 10 and their mxd files. We can't use Javascript nor OCR to recognize the tokens. Were you able to get Connector to work with all types of files that open in ArcGIS ERSi?
