Connector not launching under particular user account

Laserfiche connector is no longer launching under a single Windows user's account where it was working previously. It does still launch under a different, admin account on that same computer. Running the program causes LFC.exe to appear briefly in the task manager, but then it closes without any message. The event viewer shows a pair of error messages for each crash. It is a ".Net Application" error involving an unhandled exception with the stack trace showing a problem with the XmlSerializer. The only changes I can see since yesterday are that a .Net 4.5.2 Windows update was applied to the workstation earlier today. Still, I think it's strange that the Admin user can open the program normally. Has anyone else seen this problem?

Just an update on my issue... While looking more thoroughly with the user's IT, we discovered what appeared to be malware/spyware on the machine. They reimaged it, after which the Connector started working again. I realize that's basically a shotgun approach to solving the issue, but it was something local to this particular machine.

If the user goes to another machine and logs in with the same windows account, does the issue follow the user to the new machine?

I am getting this same issue, also on .net 4.5.2 but not sure when it was installed.  It wasn't in the last few days.  Getting .net runtime error in application log as well as an application error. Worked last Tuesday for a client demo. Friday for a client demo it didn't work, won't start. Nothing new installed or windows updates at that time.  I have since repaired, uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times, even deleting xml rules etc before installing again for a "clean" install.  Always with the same results, three listings in the event viewer and an app that just starts and immediately stops.   Also seems that the last time I reinstalled after the "clean install" the %ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Laserfiche\Connector\Profiles folder didn't get created.

Jason, your case is already being worked on. It will be updated with your next steps once we determine what those are.

This thread will also be updated with the resolution to the issue once the case has been resolved for the benefit of other readers.

Thanks Raymond.  Shule said she has sent it to development to check on .  Thanks Scott, good to know, I have scanning software but I will run a deep scan to confirm.
