Question

Only the first value of a field is displaying even though retrieve multiple values have been used

asked on September 7, 2015

Hi all,

I have a text field 'Comments History' which contains all comments that reviewers have added when they have action on a document. I want to retrieve all the values that have been inserted in a mail.

I have retrieved the field 'Retrieve Comments History' and 'All Values' has been selected. But, in the mail activity, only the first value of Comments History is being obtained.

Can you please help me if I miss out something and why is it that not all the values have been displayed in the mail as the multi-value functionality has been used?

Thanks to help.

Kindly advise.

When converting the tokens to text it ignores the "all" and only returns the first value.

The easy way to fix that is to use the "apply index" function which can be accessed by clicking on the ">" symbol and choosing "Token Dialog". then select your token in there, click the apply index and select all, then choose what you want in between each line (I usually use line break to have them in a list).

Really the only time "all" comes in to play is when you are moving the token into another token like container. So it works when taking a token and adding all of them to another token, it also works when taking a token and adding all of them to a multivalue metadata field.
