Question

Importing PDF the Laserfiche Image becomes garbled.

asked on August 27, 2015

We have a unique case where a client imports a PDF (drag and drop) into Laserfiche and they use the Generate Laserfiche Pages...when they open the document, the image is garbled.  It works fine if they snapshot (using KB 1012815).  It's also odd that these PDF's are received from a particular company...other PDF's work just fine...any thoughts?  We're not sure what's different about these PDF's then others....Thanks!

Please file a support case so we can try the PDFs, we should be able to fix the bug for an upcoming release.

I am running Laserfiche 10 and Web Access 10 and continue to have issues when importing pdf's into the system.  The Electronic file is uncorrupted, however the laserfiche image is garbled.

Thank you for the quick response.  This may be a silly question and will likely show that I don't know much about computers, please don't judge me harshly... Do I need to load the hotfix on to each computer that has the Laserfiche Client (and is having the issue)? or am I loading this on to my server?

There is a hotfix listed in the article that is for each individual client. There is also a hotfix listed for Web Access which only has to be installed on the Web Access server itself. Hope that helps.
