I would like the ability to display additional text above/below a collection field. Similar to the functionality in a Section. Is this possible with javascript and/or CSS?

You can use CustomHTML field to achieve this, without writing script/code.
Abby, I thought about this, but my testing repeated the same text over and over and this is undesirable. I would like it to appear only once. Is there another method?

Yes, I'm looking to add additional information for the user who is inputting information. In this example, I am using a Section (EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND) with sub-text under the section explaining how the user should fill the form out. Then, I have 5 fields that I need to be repeatable (collection). The way it looks now, is not ideal with the space between the two. See image below

I see, you can use the CSS to hide the Collection title instead making it empty.
