Workflow will not recognize Metadata Change

asked on August 18, 2015 Show version history

I have been working with our local solutions engineer on developing a workflow for a permit approval process and have been running into issues with Laserfiche Workflow not recognizing when metadata has been change to approve the review of a document. The workflow that we've set up works on the Solutions Engineer System but does not work on ours. We've ensured that each workflow task is pointed to the proper source (ie: original document or the routed document). We've also confirmed that the user initiating the workflow has full access rights for the folders and the template.

Has anyone else run into this problem and found a solution?

Thank You,

-Jeff

Every entry change event is checked by the Subscriber to see if it satisfies starting rules and wait conditions. Take a look at the Subscriber Trace to see how events are evaluated.

Does this workflow start off of a metadata change or is the metadata change you are talking about come from the route entry?  Depending on which it is I would either add a screenshot of your starting rules or I would go into the description options and show summaries so there is more information on the tasks.

What account are you using for the Workflow profile? Have you excluded the account in the starting rule?  Do you have template or field security set up? Can you use an account that is not restricted in the starting rule and also does not have any field or template security restrictions?
