Question

Receiving the following error logging into the Client - Permission denied. Access denied. [9013]

asked on August 13, 2015

We have only one user that is receiving this error.  It is a Windows Account, the user has the Directory Named User checkbox selected in their account.  The Trust: allow access radio button is also selected under the Authentication section.

But trying to log into the client displays the following error: Permission denied. Access denied. [9013]

We also checked security on the volumes, everyone has access to all volumes.

Any feedback would help - thanks.

Check to see if this Windows Account is linked to any Laserfiche repository user accounts. If it is, then the repository user will need to be assigned a named user license as well. As a best practice, we no longer recommended linking domain accounts to repository user accounts.

I verified that they do not have any Laserfiche repository user accounts setup, only Windows Accounts for their users.

Stop the Laserfiche Server service. Go into C:\Program Files\Laserfiche\Server and backup the lfsnu.db file to another location. Then delete the original file and restart the Laserfiche Server service.

Reopen the Laserfiche Administration Console and go back into the Windows Accounts node and confirm that the windows account is still set to be a directory named user and the authentication setting is set to Trust: allow access.

Now try logging in using Windows Authentication from the Client. If there's still an issue, it may be best to open a support case at that point.

I ran through those steps and when the database was recreated it removed all Directory Named User checkbox selections for each user.  I re-checked that checkbox for all users and had them try to login again, and that one user still could not login.

Any other thoughts on this?
