Question

Question

If Forms is on a different server can I have IIS from a DMZ point to it?

asked on August 11, 2015

If I have Forms on a separate server other than the server that is hosting the public websites would I be able to point to the server that has Forms on this. The reason they are on two separate servers is that the server that is hosting the public websites is on server 2003 and I do not believe Forms would be able to be installed on that server. Would I have to make a application instance and redirect it to the server that Forms is on?

Do you mean to use a reverse proxy as described here? http://www.iis.net/learn/extensions/configuring-application-request-routing-%28arr%29/creating-a-forward-proxy-using-application-request-routing

We don't have proper environment to test this. Can you try if you can find a solution in the tutorials like http://weblogs.asp.net/owscott/creating-a-reverse-proxy-with-url-rewrite-for-iis
