Use Forms login as credentials to web service

Are we able to pass through the login authentication of the current Forms user to a web service through JavaScript so that a web service can limit responses based on the user that is being used to access the service.

If you set the field default value, it will give you the current user’s login username. You can use JavaScript to locate it and pass it to the webservice.
