How to add email address to role in Business Process Activity

asked on August 6, 2015

Hello everyone,

I have a workflow whereby I need to update emails for all participants and configure in bulk. How is this possible? I also want to be able to use it in other workflows once I have already created it for the first one.

Does anyone know how to resolve that?

Regards,

Ketsia

Once you configure them for each user, the emails will be available to all workflows. Your screenshot seems to indicate you are using Laserfiche trustees, not Active Directory users. In this case, the email is saved in the [Workflow]E-mail trustee attribute. You could use the Laserfiche SDK to set the trustee attributes for each user. You could set it through the Workflow Designer (Tools\Configure Trustee Directories), but it would be one user at a time.

FYI - The attribute is case sensitive. If you add the attribute with a lowercase 'e' and then want to change it later it will not let you. You have to instead delete the user and then recreate the user and the attribute.

Yes, you would have to write a script. See ILFSecurableTrustee.Attribute in your SDK documentation for an example.
