Workflow - How Route entry handles entry locks

When a route entry activity that moves an entry posts the Warning that an entry is locked. What does it do with the entry? Not move it or wait until it is unlocked and then move it?

It waits 5 minutes and tries again up to 50 times. See Task Error Handlers.
