Question

Burn annotations on PDF?

asked on July 27, 2015

One of our clients has a requirement that annotations need to be burned on PDFs when exported via email. Only redactions have the option to be burned on currently. Has anyone found an easy way to do this that I can recommend?

  • They dont want to use tifs
  • If we have to recommend using an external application Id like to make it as simple and fast as possible.

And make sure you uncheck Convert Annotations to PDF Annotations under File Format Options just below it.

Hi Ben,

I am not sure what options you have set, but both annotations and redactions can be put on the exported PDF. See in client options Tools>Options>Export>Images:-

I've tested this and it puts both sticky notes and stamps on the exported PDF.

Hope this helps! smileyyes

Thanks Jim I was sure there had to be a way to do it in Laserfiche. Also thanks Chris but the issue was they were sending the PDFs to clients that use a PDF viewer that doesnt show PDF annotations.
