Enhancement Request: Table Row Merging

asked on July 21, 2015

We are currently working on a form that will collect scores for different types of tests. In trying to recreate part of the form, we have found it is not easily possible. The current form looks like the picture below.

We would need the ability to merge multiple rows together in order to accomplish this. We have looked at just adding the grade as a column (and will probably do that), but it is not as clean as the picture above. Please consider adding the ability to do this within a table.

Why not add them as separate tables? Name the tables Kindergarden, 1st Grade, etc., label your rows Benchmark, Strategic, Intensive and label your columns Fall, Winter and Spring. Then hide/remove the "add row" buttons for each table and you're good to go.

In general, it's not a good idea to try to recreate your existing forms in LF and fully preserve the look. Most forms are created in programs like Excel, which have their own specialized data markups that don't translate well to web-based software.

Ege, thank you for the suggestion. The part that I struggle with is on this one form there are scores for 6 different assessments. So naming the Table according to the grade would make it so there could possible be 6 different tables on one form for one assessment. Having 36 tables on one form is not going to be acceptable for the end users.

As an example, below is a screenshot of 3 of the assessment scores that need to be displayed:
