Question

The image file is corrupt, but has still been partially rendered

asked on July 16, 2015 Show version history

I'm using the LaserFiche 9.0 client and after uploading images when I click on the image to bring up the viewer I get the following message "The image file is corrupt, but has still been partially rendered". I have 16 images and the thumbnails are all blank! When I click on a thumbnail nothing shows up int he viewer.

If I go to the Properties dialog for the images the Page Info tab shows all 16 images and their file sizes.

This just started happening recently, older images still show up and work fine. Any ideas what could be causing the problem?

Thanks.

There was a similar issue with these symptoms for the version you are on. Please open a case with your VAR so we can look into this further.

Hi,

I did go to the actual files and they all come up empty. I also noticed that the .LFT files are there for each corresponding .tif file.

When I check the .tif image before it gets uploaded to LaserFiche the 16 images are there. So something is happening during the upload process.

This is a VB6 project referencing LaserFiche Server Objects 9.2 and DocumentProcessor 9.2 and has been working fine in the past.

Hi David,

What do you mean by..?

I did go to the actual files and they all come up empty.

Can you successfully open the actual .TIF files in the LF volume and they display correctly in windows?

Hi David,

I would navigate to the actual files within the Laserfiche volume and check you can open the files there. It looks like the actual windows files have been corrupted somehow and you need to check them outside Laserfiche first before digging any deeper.

Hope this helps! yes

No cannot open them. I used file explorer to go to the files on the LF volume and tried to open them and the same thing they're empty. However the .tif files on the user's workstation before I send to LF are fine.

Hmmmm...

Sounds like you have a problem with the volume. What happens if you create a new volume and try importing documents into the new one?

I have met similar problem. I tried to create a new volume and try importing my document into the new one but the question remained the same. No thing changed on issue!
