Hi there,
A question came up from our records management consultant, they are saying that if a document in one area with a shorter retention is linked to a document with a longer retention, then both documents should be kept for the length of the longest retention. Is that how laserfiche works? If a document is otherwise eligible for destruction but it has a link or is in a link group with a document that is permanent, for example, they are saying that all of the related documents should be treated as permanent.
Anyways, I'm just wondering if this is how Laserfiche function or if that is not actually a DoD requirement and perhaps we don't really need this to be happening.
Records management makes my head spin :S
