Question

How to make workflow goes to one-level upwards?

asked on July 10, 2015

Hi all,

I have a workflow which requires to update a user list and comments field.

For e.g: A document is in Lands Section folder and the Lands Officer needs to select the name of another participant(i.e Drawings Officer) from the user list field and enters his comments for the person to action on the document. A shortcut is created in the Drawings Officer workings folder.

The Drawings Officer needs to enter his comments and changed the status to 'Quotation sent' but the document should then be routed to Lands Officer for further processing.

My question is how to make the workflow moves upwards to Lands Officer accordingly after Drawings Officer has taken action on it.

Please find a screenshot of my workflow.

Grateful if you can help.

Regards,

Sheila

Can you please elaborate?

Is this supposed to be something where the Lands officer only needs a second activity if a certain issue comes up? Why not just add another Entry Route inside the conditional? Or, put both in a repeat and have it evaluate the repeat after the activities have completed.

Hi,

No, when the document reaches the Drawings Officer working folder, he needs to change the status to Quotation sent' and enters his comments. Then the document needs to go back to the Lands Officer as he is needs to do make payments.

Can you please elaborate about the repeat loop as I was wondering to use it? If you can please give me a screenshot.

Thanks

Kind Regards,

Sheila
