Question

Question

Forms calls "Forms has encountered an internal error" anytime I click the Publish tab on any process.

asked on July 8, 2015

On a new forms installation of 9.2.1 everything seems to be working fine except when we get to Publish tab on any process. As soon as the tab loads it displays the page but with a red "Forms has encountered an internal error" tab on the top of the page.

Clicking the Publish button does nothing.

I have a couple basic forms in the process with a basic 1 step approval. The Process Modeler validation validates correctly. I tried a second new forms process with the same result. What could be the cause?

It has been confirmed that the full uninstall and reinstall of Forms has resolved the issue.

Check the application event log on the Forms Server for more details. Also, go into the FormsConfig site and let us know what you have specified as the Primary Forms Server URL.

There are no errors in the Application log anywhere around the time of the Publish internal error.

The primary forms server URL is: //cnrio/Forms

cnrio is the local LAN name of the forms server.

Is this a completely new installation of Forms 9.2.1 with a newly created database or did the database exist previously (from an older version of Forms) and was just updated to 9.2.1?

Please open a support case for this matter. It'd be helpful if you could also run a fiddler trace while recreating the issue and provide that log file to us.

I have encountered this issue before, I just did a repair on forms and it was working again.
