how to use %(gcount) properly within workflow?

I am having an issue with using this global token %(gcount) within workflow while filling out a PDF.  This is the error I keep getting:

 

 

 

%(Date#"yyMM"#)%(RetrieveLaserficheFormsContent_ContractingEntity_sCompanyCode)%(gcount)

Workflow cannot resolve a Laserfiche Server token. You might be able to set it in a field first so the server gives it a value, then read it back out and then write it to the PDF.
