Question

Question

0 is not a valid entry id

asked on July 7, 2015

After editing a field within a conditional branch, the first activity in the workflow has stopped working with the oddest error.

I've used both the specific ID and the Folder path and continue to get the same error.

*We've also increased our # of entries by 200,000 since then.

Any ideas?

Issue ended up being version conflict related between designer and workflow server from 9.2.0 and 9.2.1.

When a workflow was downloaded from a 9.2.0.167 server, republished from a 9.2.1.239 designer, the error became present.

After upgrading the workflow server to 9.2.1.239, re-publishing the erroring workflow from a 9.2.1.239 designer, normal behavior resumed.

Does the workflow terminate? If it does please check the token to see if it was able to find the correct EntryID. If this comes up correctly please check that the following activities in the workflow. Make sure they are using the 'other entry' option and that you select the entry that is found from the search in the following activities. This would be found on the right side at the bottom for the activity properties.

The find entry is the first activity in the workflow and yes the workflow terminates. No other activities process.

No, the activity does not find the entry. The error this activity produces is pasted above and here as it throws two errors.

I've exported the workflow and confirmed the correct value was being stored in the xml, reimported, and still get the same error.

Right now I disabled the Find Entry activity and replaced it with an advanced search syntax activity to use the 6250 entry ID and configured the other activities to use the result of this instead of the find entry activity. This workaround was successful but not desired.

Does it only happen for that path or entry ID?

Appears to happen to all entries.

I've confirmed permissions and the existence of the corresponding entry ID in SQL. The search repository by entry ID works, only the find entry activities do not.

No other unusual errors are present on either system and all services and configurations appear running and valid.

I can't reproduce it. Could you have your reseller open a support case, please?
