Metadata Field Data Default Value Not Populating

We updated an user to v9.21 client and the default value of a field is displaying blank instead of the default value selected for the field in the Admin console. (see attached file) Using the same user on a machine with the v9.02 client - the default value is displayed.

Is this the characteristics of the v9.21 client?

I was unable to reproduce this issue. If you are still having this issue with all of your List fields, please open a support case.
